New Herlev Hospital

The new extension development to Herlev Hospital features two circular buildings balanced on a rectangular base, surrounded by lush courtyards and a large central green. The design provides a natural outlook and abundant daylight for patients in the recovery process. The new facilities will contain a new emergency room and a woman and child centre, including a pediatric and maternity ward.

Interior roller shades were fitted with a shading control system that allows for central group and individual control. Blinds are controlled automatically for efficient solar heat and glare reduction, maintaining a controlled interior climate. Individual user control is still available to each room for both shading adjustment and privacy.
