Library of Birmingham
The Library of Birmingham is a flagship project for the city’s redevelopment and is one of the largest public libraries in the United Kingdom. Approximately 2M people visit the library annually.
The building was installed with motorised blinds, programmed and controlled by a centralised KNX building control system at set times throughout the day, operating the blinds up and down to maximise shading.
Visitors to the library benefit from advanced shading automation, controlling the amount of daylight entering the building with the reduced impact of UV light and glare.
